IBNR Claim
An IBNR Claim (Incurred but not reported claim) is a claim that has already occurred but has not yet been reported to the insurer as of the financial reporting date. While the insurer is unaware of the specific loss, they expect such claims to exist based on historical data, reporting patterns, and statistical analysis.
