Follow Form
Follow form means an insurance policy adopts the terms, conditions, exclusions, and definitions of another policy, known as the underlying policy. Unless the follow-form policy states otherwise, it generally provides additional coverage on the same basis as the underlying policy. For example, if the underlying policy excludes earthquake damage, a follow-form policy also excludes earthquake damage. You will most often see this term in connection with excess insurance, but it also applies to other types of insurance.
