Difference in Conditions (DIC) insurance

Difference in Conditions (DIC) insurance is a supplemental insurance policy that broadens the coverage provided by an underlying insurance policy. It covers risks or conditions that the underlying policy excludes or limits. Businesses commonly use DIC insurance with commercial property policies to add coverage for perils such as flood, earthquake, or landslide. Multinational insurance programs also use DIC policies to fill gaps between local policies and the desired global coverage. See also: Commercial Property InsuranceExclusion
